PNC-27 is a synthetic peptide that research suggests triggers necrosis in cancerous cells, resulting in cell death. In addition, an HDM-2 binding domain in the peptide allows it to membranolyze cancer cells and kill them [1].

Scientific studies suggest PNC-27 peptide appears to be highly effective in treating a variety of cancers, including breast cancer, melanoma, pancreatic cancer, and leukaemia, according to experiments on animal subjects [2].

Some studies have suggested in contrast to chemotherapy, which targets healthy cells, the PNC-27 peptide targets cancer cells. When it attaches to cancer cells, it makes holes in their membranes, causing them to die quickly.
